Rentokil’s Scamper mouse no pest when it comes to social

When you think of great social media campaigns, pest control isn’t exactly the type of thing you’d imagine could be successful…

…well think again. Rentokil’s CGI mouse called Scamper has his own Facebook game, Twitter account and four CGI video clips.

The idea is to educate people about how mice get into houses and how to spot if you have an infestation – with the ultimate aim of getting people to call Rentokil if they do have mice.

The Scamper Mouse game sits on the right side of being frustrating enough to make you determined to get past the first level. Each time you die you are given stats about mice, such as how far they can jump and how much they eat.

We happen to think the way Rentokil doesn’t force users to ‘Like’ the brand is possibly the key to its success.The game is also open to all.
