It was that time of the year again when everyone had a serious case of the summer blues and were on the lookout for a much needed pick me up. Never one to shy away from a challenge, we at MUSTARD PR decided to try and battle the blues. So, what better way to do that than to get a load of people together with food, drinks (lots of them) and a bit of Fifa 14 on the Xbox?

Yes, last Thursday (24/10) saw the return of the much-anticipated MUSTARD PR Fifa14 tournament and this time it was even bigger and better.

More than 50 media attended the event, representing the likes of The Sun, The Guardian, BBC, The Mirror, Engadget, GQ, Stuff and Men’s Heath, just to name a few. The night was a success once again, thanks to the support of our sponsors, which included Vibe, Moves and Philips.

42 people entered the tournament in a straight knock-out format (bearable thanks to a life saving iPad app!) and played over four screens, which were supplied by our lovely client ViewSonic. The night concluded with a one sided hard fought victory by Lee Stobbs from GQ Magazine against the Beeb’s Dave Lee.

The Crown & Anchor played host to the evening and supplied a great atmosphere, most notably when the Toure brothers were serenaded shortly after the final whistle and Sunderland were chanted some harsh truths (well not really, they are going down!). Yaya Yaya Yaya Yaya Yaya Yaya Yaya Toure, Kolo Kolo Kolo Kolo Kolo Kolo Kolo Toure!

We would like to thank all those who attended and also another big thank you to our sponsors for making it possible.
