TweetDeck back up and running!
The popular in-house app of Twitter, TweetDeck is now back up and running after a series of security threats forced it shut yesterday afternoon. TweetDeck, which allows users to create custom timelines for their personal preference, was forced to shut yesterday due to high risk and vulnerability of hackers gaining access to a whole host of accounts. After originally claiming to have overcome the issue, the service was then completely taken down subject of the XSS (“cross-site scripting”) security fault.
The fault apparently only affected those using TweetDeck via the Google Chrome browser and the issue was supposedly over come by simply logging out and back in, however after more complaints from users, people were advised to log out and remain logged out until further information is released.
TweetDeck have since commented saying that they apologise for any inconveniences and the service is back up and running, this time it seems to have stayed that way as well.
